The South Baltic Annual Conference 2011

On the 29th November 2011, the South Baltic Annual Conference took place in Schwerin, Germany. The University of Greifswald participated the Conference whose topic were the state of implementation of the South Baltic Programme, presented by Ms Marta Plichta (Head of the JTS), the European Union Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, presented by Mr Marcin Wojcik form the European Commission, as well as two topic areas connected with a panel discussion (Impact of the territorial co-operation on the regions covered by the South Baltic Programme/ The new programming perspective 2014-2020). From the 17th to 18th October 2011, the University of Greifswald took part at the Study Conference "Destination I” in the Retreat House in Würzburg. The conference was organized by the Thomas-Morus-Academy Bensberg and the Academy Brothers Pax Family Welfare. The topics of the conference included the search for meaning around Spiritual and Religious Tourism. For example, the touristic use of pilgrimage routes in Germany was discussed. More...
